Our elderly narrator has since risen to the highest rank in the Guardia Civil (complete with the famous tri-corn hat), and wistfully reflects on his life and the lessons from Carmen’s unforgettable tale that he took to heart as a young man...

Euan McIver keeps us all in order in his own inimitable style as Morales, and The Maltings’ Steinway grand piano provides the crystal clear musical accompaniment. Our semi-staged production, sung in the original French, includes every magical much-loved aria including Habanera, Seguidilla, andToreador Song.
